Something’s Cooking Down South by Amy Simone centers around Sissy, a young, up and coming pastry chef  looking to leave her past behind her and start life anew deep in southern Louisiana. At first we find her in an abusive relationship with her current business partner. The last thing she expected was falling head over heels for harried Louisiana lawyer Peter Doucet.

While Sissy’s running from her dark past, Peter faces a multitude of problems, mostly relating to the five children in his life. He shares custody with his exotic, mercurial Argentinian ex-wife who dotes more on her small dog, Lovey, than she ever doted on him!
