Hello and Welcome!

My name is Amy Simone, and I am the Uptown Writer. I am a native Louisianan and currently live in the Acadiana region of Louisiana with my wonderful husband and many beloved pets. Career-wise, I have worn many hats, from former journalist to caterer, I've done a little bit of everything! But the one thing that has stayed with me through every stage and life transformation is my love of stories and writing. There are few things better than getting lost in a good book. I've been writing stories since the first grade, and once I retired from my day job, decided to go ahead and throw myself into my passion full time, and haven't looked back! Besides writing, my second love is horses. I have a wonderful horse I adoringly call "The Crusader" and we ride dressage. When reading any one of my books, you'll find horsey-things drizzled in here and there in, one way or another. Another thing when it comes to my books is that I don't stick to a specific genre, I must admit I like to explore and change it up! So there's a little bit of something for everybody here. From fantasy and adventure to sweet southern romance, I then find myself carried away on the winds to write a murder mystery series centered around the equestrian show-world.
